During his working visit to Kharkiv region, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal inspected the process of building fortifications.
This year, the Government has allocated UAH 5.9 billion for the construction of fortifications in Kharkiv region.
“The construction of defensive lines is a priority for local authorities in the frontline regions. After all, this concerns the defence of our state and our defenders,” the Head of Government noted.
In Kharkiv region, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine.
“Brave, courageous people who in the first days of the full-scale russian invasion fought the enemy and defended Kharkiv from the invaders. This place is a reminder of the price we pay for our freedom!” said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister also honoured the memory of children who died as a result of russia’s armed aggression.
“The monument to the children who died as a result of russia’s armed aggression is an emotionally difficult place in Kharkiv. People bring toys here that will never be played with again. The enemy takes away our most precious thing – our children. We will never forgive them,” said Denys Shmyhal.
