First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, speaking on a television channel, discussed new digital services and technologies currently being tested and soon to be available to Ukrainians. These include Starlink Direct to Cell, the implemented Diia Card, and an AI assistant on the Diia portal.

Starlink Direct to Cell is a satellite communication technology that enables smartphone connectivity without mobile towers. Testing is underway, and by late autumn, Ukrainians will be able to send SMS messages for free. Next year, the service will expand to include phone calls and mobile internet.

The Diia Card is a single card for all state payments and support programmes. Over 300,000 Ukrainians opened it within the first day, and currently, more than 600,000 users have adopted it.

A significant announcement is the AI assistant on the Diia portal, which will assist with accessing state services. The artificial intelligence will respond to user queries and generate necessary income certificates.

“We are also working on electronic excise, services for Ukrainians abroad, online divorce, and other services. Ukraine is becoming one of the world’s leading countries in digital innovation,” added Mykhailo Fedorov.
