Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi together with Prime Minister of Finland Petteri Orpo called on partner governments to join the Civil Protection Shelter Coalition and support joint projects for their restoration and construction where they are most needed.

“Ukraine and Finland launched the Coalition last May. Grateful to Finland for its leadership in this process. The Coalition now unites 12 countries, the EU and international organizations as well,” noted the Head of Government.

“Partners have mobilized EUR 32 million with shelters being built in schools, kindergartens and hospitals in Chernihiv, Kozelets, Sumy, Balta, Pokrov, Kherson and Mykolaiv.”

Sergii Koretskyi emphasized that russia attacks Ukrainian cities every day with missiles and drones, therefore “we must expand reliable shelters, especially for children.”

“We count on new partners to join the Coalition and to support dedicated projects to protect people’s lives,” expressed the Prime Minister.
