The Council of the European Union will reallocate funds to support education and science in Ukraine

On March 16, 2022, a meeting of the Ministers of Education of the Council of the European Union took place.

Today Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports of France Jean-Michel Blanquer,who chairs the Council of Ministers, announced on Twitter that the decision was made as a result of this meeting. This was announced by Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet.

Thus, the Ministers of Education of the Council of the European Union adopted a decision on the reallocation of EU funds for education:

to support Ukrainian children in schools;

to facilitate the enrollment of pupils and students;

to provide access to shared online resources for teachers;

permanent access to the Ukrainian education system and the study of the Ukrainian language, in particular through the All-Ukrainian online school;

to restore the Ukrainian education system.

It should be noted that Serhii Shkarlet appealed to the Ministers of Education of the Council of the European Union to support and develop the All-Ukrainian School Online, as well as to provide special grants to fill it with new materials on various subjects, including psychological support for children in war.
