The process of incorporation in the Constitution of Ukraine of the results of the first stage of the decentralization reform and the promotion of changes in the local governance system cannot be delayed in time. An approximate term for the approval of all required decisions is about 600 days (1.5 years). This was stated on the air of the Espresso TV channel by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

"In the course of 600 days it is possible to adopt all the decisions, including in the part of the Constitution, which will make the reform irreversible", the Head of Government said. "A new stage of the reform should envisage strengthening the responsibility of community leaders themselves."

According to Volodymyr Groysman, it is difficult to predict the course of a discussion of legislative decisions - first of all, given the electoral process that will take place next year. And there are threats to the reform. "Now the objective is to protect the reform and develop local governance", added the Prime Minister.
