The process of monetization of subsidies, which will take place in Ukraine for the first time, will launch next year, Prime Minister of Ukraine told in an interview with the Ukrinform agency.

He reminded that the total amount of targeted assistance provided for by the draft State Budget for 2019 makes up UAH 55 billion, which is by UAH 4 billion more than this year.

"And the process of monetization of subsidies will be carried out in several stages. We start January 1. This is a very serious process that will take place for the first time. A certain proportion of citizens, and this is 1 million 300 thousand households, are being reimbursed the saved funds. On average, it turned out to be UAH 600-700 per household. The next stage is to transfer everyone to personal accounts. It is there that we will transfer compensation by the state for the payment of housing and communal services, and from those accounts the funds should get to heat providers and other utilities providers", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

According to the plan, monetization should be carried out until the fall of 2019 - before the next heating season. "We have already created a register of subsidies and advance further. Definitely, the bureaucracy does not contribute to this process. But it has never had. This is a huge amount of work, and we will get through this", assured the Head of Government.
