Honorable diplomatic community and employees of the diplomatic service!

On behalf of the Government I congratulate you on the Day of the Diplomatic Service!

In the modern world, the role of diplomacy in the international arena is pivotal, and civilized countries consider diplomatic relations as the main mechanism of intergovernmental communications. The professional diplomatic corps is a great legacy and a strategic resource for any country that seeks to be an actor of international policy. Successful work of the diplomatic official strengthens the prestige of the state in the international arena, deepens ties with other states and promotes the development of society as a whole.

The hybrid war that has Russia waged against our state requires the mobilization of all the political and diplomatic resources we possess. The current challenges oblige us to adhere to a clear, balanced and understandable foreign policy for our partners. The Ukrainian diplomatic service employees bear the burden of a difficult mission of informing the global community of the Ukrainian stance and at the same time dispelling the myths of hostile propaganda.

Ukrainian diplomatic officials perform a really titanic work on all the available platforms. Numerous projects of Ukraine with our Western partners confirm the success of these endeavors and the effectiveness of our foreign policy. The signing of an important intergovernmental agreement or the implementation of any joint project is preceded by the long, painstaking and hard work of diplomatic service employees. The imposition of international sanctions on the aggressor was made possible due to the brilliant diplomatic work of the Ukrainian Party.

I express my gratitude to the entire Ukrainian diplomatic community and employees of the diplomatic service for their high professionalism and excellent work in challenging times for our country! I wish you all strong health and further professional achievements! I believe that together we will succeed in realizing everything we have planned, confirming the positive image of Ukraine in the world!
