
Third Meeting of the Ukrainian-Spanish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Industrial Cooperation takes place
On December 19, 2018, Madrid hosted the Third Meeting of the Ukrainian-Spanish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Industrial Cooperation, in which Deputy Minister for European Integration Natalia Boyko took part.
Within the framework of the plenary session of the Commission, the issues of cooperation in the sector of renewable energy sources and the integration of Ukrainian energy markets into European ones were discussed.
"Integration of gas and electricity markets into EU markets is a clear priority, in particular, it includes increasing the reliability of functioning of energy systems, raising the level of environmental and energy security, the reliability of energy supply and diversification of energy supply sources", Natalia Boiko said in a statement.
Moreover, the Spanish side was briefed about the latest legislative trends regarding the regulation of renewable energy sources (RES) in Ukraine.
As part of the discussion on cooperation in RES, the Spanish side was invited to invest in the production of components for renewable energy installations and to intensify cooperation in the development of power accumulating capacities, highly maneuverable generation and demand management tools.
