Next year, the start of the President's program Large Thermal Modernization encapsulates house insulation of 5,000 apartment buildings. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a regular Government sitting on December 23.

"The program is aimed to reduce heat loss and gas consumption, which, in turn, will help reduce the sums in utility bills and strengthen Ukraine's energy independence," Denys Shmyhal stated.

During the meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved a draft law which stipulates for the systematic and prompt development of the energy modernization program in Ukraine.

"The document is designed to simplify the procedure for creating condominiums and reduce the number of procedures and time needed to start a project on thermal modernization of residential buildings," said the Prime Minister.

Denys Shmyhal added that together with international partners Ukraine also planned to increase the energy efficiency of schools, hospitals, kindergartens, budget and municipal institutions.
