The state will provide guarantees for loans to small and medium-sized farms. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Government meeting on February 16.

"The Government will establish a Fund for partial guarantee of loans in agriculture. Portfolio guarantees have proven to be a reliable and effective incentive tool for micro-entrepreneurship, so a similar practice will be extended to representatives of the agricultural sector," said Denys Shmyhal.

In addition, the Prime Minister noted that the portfolio guarantee program would be expanded. Thus, the Government approved a document, the implementation of which allows providing state guarantees to two more creditor banks. They will be able to issue loans for micro and small businesses under partial state guarantee.

Denys Shmyhal reminded that the total volume of the program for this year made up UAH 10 billion. In total, more than UAH 8 billion in state guarantees have already been provided.
