Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Speaker of the Parliament of Moldova Igor Grosu tackled the strengthening of cooperation between the countries during the meeting on August 28.

Denys Shmyhal stressed that Ukraine is ready to share with Moldova the experience in implementing reforms within the work of the Associated Trio.

The sides also raised the issue of joint projects, in particular, the development of border infrastructure.

Thus, the Prime Minister noted that Ukraine, for its part, has financed 100% of the advance payment for the construction of the Yampil-Kosuets bridge crossing and is already actively reconstructing the section of the road leading to it.

"This object will provide additional comfort for our citizens, speed up logistics and expand transport corridors. It will enable us to further expand the border infrastructure, in particular to build new checkpoints and roads," Denys Shmyhal underscored.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine dwelled on that this also opens up additional opportunities for the development of transport connections between Ukraine and Moldova and the opening of new railway trips.
