Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of Moldova Natalia Gavrilița during a meeting on August 28 agreed to launch work within the Associated Trio at the level of Prime Ministers.
As Denys Shmyhal noted, this is another important step for successful joint European integration.
"We hope to deepen comprehensive cooperation within the Associated Trio with the ultimate goal of full membership in the European Union," said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
Denys Shmyhal and Natalia Gavrilița also agreed to restart bilateral cooperation mechanisms in the near future, including the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and its working groups. And also to step up negotiation processes on the issues of contractual and legal regulation of the operating conditions of the Dniester Hydro Power Complex and to accelerate the construction of the Yampil-Koseuts bridge crossing and the Kyiv- Chișinău highway.
