On the occasion of the Day of Unity, a ceremony of raising the State Flag of Ukraine took place near the building of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The event was attended by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and members of the Government.
"We are a strong and united nation. Today we are demonstrating this by celebrating the Day of Unity. We have one state, a stable economy and a strong army. We must also be strong, stable and united. Believe in your country. Glory to Ukraine!" the Prime Minister congratulated the Ukrainians.
During the ceremony, the military officers of the сeremonial guard of the National Guard raised the State Flag of Ukraine accompanied by the national anthem, performed by members of the Khreschatyk choir.
