Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 15, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 31,513 (2,872 children out of this number, 992 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 31,251,871 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 15,613,185 people have been vaccinated. On February 15, 2022, 65,805 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 10,975 – CoronaVac vaccine, 49,639 – Comirnaty vaccine, 903 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 4,288.

Vaccination was carried out by 960 mobile immunization teams, 3,279 vaccination points and 423 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,640 persons, 310 patients died, 27,684 persons recovered. There have been conducted 141,367 testings (62,931 using the PCR method, 6,389 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 72,047).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 4,603,930 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,839,314 people recovered;
  • 103,565 people died;
  • 19,176,424 testings have been conducted.

Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of September 22, 2021, № 981 "On Amendments to Certain Acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine" amended the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 9, 2020 № 1236 "On introducing quarantine and restrictive anti-epidemic measures to prevent the spread of the territory of Ukraine of the acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2" (hereinafter - Resolution № 1236), extending the quarantine until December 31, 2021. At the same time, from September 23, 2021, a yellow level of epidemic danger will be established throughout the country.

The Ministry of Health reminds that following three simple rules of anti-epidemic safety - keeping a distance, wearing a mask and using hand sanitizers - saves lives.
