Ukrainians abroad are the epicenter that promotes the development of Ukraine's global network of friends and forms a coalition to support Ukraine's reform and European integration. This was emphasized by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his welcoming statement on the occasion of the beginning of the Annual General Meeting of the Ukrainian World Congress.
The regular UWC Annual General Meeting began on October 17. For the first time the event is held online. According to the Prime Minister, this is a unique opportunity to strengthen ties between Ukrainians around the world for the sake of consolidation and support of native Ukraine.
"The Ukrainian World Congress that unites Ukrainian communities in many countries around the world, is an extremely powerful force. I am confident that our joint work with the entire Ukrainian diaspora will help demonstrate to the world that Ukraine is changing. That our state is becoming extremely attractive for investment. That we exert every effort to ensure domestic and foreign companies feel confident in Ukraine and see prospects for their business," stressed Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Government would not slow down the implementation of reforms and assured UWC members that Ukraine’s advancement towards the European Union was a priority. Denys Shmyhal also called to join the "Invest in Ukraine Now" campaign. "Together we will definitely create a strong state with a sound economy," the PM accentuated.
The Head of Government thanked the UWC and the global Ukrainian community for popularizing our state among the global community. "This is an important element in building a positive image of our country. Your voice is crucial, it strengthens Ukraine's voice in the international arena. The Ukrainian diaspora is one of the most powerful in the world, as we are united," said Denys Shmyhal.
