"The development of regional airports remains our main priority for the current and subsequent years. In September, preparatory work began on the construction of a new airfield complex at Dnipro Airport, we are working to determine the optimal location of the new airport in Zakarpattia. And today a new modern terminal has started operating at Zaporizhia Airport. According to recent research, it is air travel that is the safest due to COVID-19 pandemic and has the lowest risk of infection spread. That's why we travel safely!" said the Ministry.
The capacity of the new terminal at Zaporizhia Airport is 400 passengers per hour. It has a modern design and a comfortable space. International flights should start soon.
It should be recalled that on September 24, a bilateral intergovernmental agreement was signed in Bratislava between Ukraine and Slovakia, which should unblock and resume full operation of Uzhhorod airport. This will allow connecting the Zakarpattia region by air with other regions of Ukraine, as well as with foreign countries.
