Prime Minister visited the renovated emergency department of the Ivano-Frankivsk Central City Clinical Hospital

During a working trip to Ivano-Frankivsk region, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal got acquainted with the work of the renovated emergency department of the Central City Clinical Hospital.

In the frames of the implementation of the Presidential Program Large Construction, the hospital building has been renovated and an emergency department established. According to the Prime Minister, one of the advantages of functioning of the department is its accessibility.

"Healthcare is one of those industries that has been lacking sufficient financing for years. Currently, we are trying to correct this situation and thanks to the presidential initiative we are renovating and modernizing hospitals. Earlier, when the head of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, I used to pay a lot of effort to reconstruct this clinic. Now residents can receive high-quality medical services, and doctors - use modern equipment," said Denys Shmyhal.

According to data provided by Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, the advantages of the operation of the renovated department are also the efficiency of medical care and a narrow approach at the stage of treatment. In addition, new angiographic equipment was purchased and installed at the Department of Interventional Cardiology, Radiology and Cardiac Surgery at the expense of the state and local budgets.

According to the Prime Minister, 97% of people admitted to hospital with COVID-19 are unvaccinated. During the acquaintance with the work of the Mass Vaccination Center at Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. Denys Shmyhal called on people to get immunized to protect their lives and health.

The Prime Minister was also informed that people with poor immunity have been vaccinated with an additional dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the region. Much attention is also paid to vaccinating people over the age of 60. Denys Shmyhal stressed the importance of coordinating the actions of the regional state administration with the heads of communities in the issue of vaccination of the population.
