On September 8, the strike of workers of private ore mines of the Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Combine continued in Dnipropetrovsk region. Upon the instructions of the Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko flew to Kryvyi Rih to get acquainted with the situation.

"Given the fact that the mines are privately owned, the state is ready to provide mediation support to resolve tensions at the plant. I gave instructions to the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Olexandr Bondarenko to initiate a tripartite council and start a social dialogue with the participation of the trade union, employees and the regional leadership. We would like to achieve a memorandum, as the result of such a dialogue, which should help improve the social security of miners and continue the efficient operation of the enterprise, " the Prime Minister said.

According to the data of the plant's trade union, as well as the leadership of Dnipropetrovsk region, the miners, who now remain underground, are provided with food and water.
