Government leaves 13.4% of fuel excise tax in disposal of communities in 2023 to strengthen their financial capacity, – Prime Minister
To strengthen financial capacity of communities, the Government, at a meeting on December 23, decided on a mechanism for transferring 13.4% of fuel excise tax to local budgets. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
“In 2023, we will leave these funds within communities so that local authorities have additional resources for the restoration of infrastructure and social expenditures,” the Head of Government said.
The Prime Minister also noted that development of a network of Points of Invincibility continues in all regions of the state. In the near future, it is planned to reach the figure of 15-17,000 points throughout the country.
Besides, the Government has allocated UAH 400 million under the eRobota program to provide grants to entrepreneurs. The funds will be used for the development of horticulture, arrangement of greenhouses and providing microgrants for the establishment or development of one’s own business. According to Denys Shmyhal, this will encourage business to create jobs.
