eRobota: Government allocates over UAH 400 million for small business development

Today, on December 23, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has earmarked new grants for small businesses totaling UAH 400.5 million. This decision was made within the framework of the government project eRobota, which provides Ukrainians with grants for starting a business, developing entrepreneurship and training.

"Every day the Ukrainian economy has to overcome new challenges, but the Government is constantly looking for ways to stabilize the situation. Supporting business, in particular micro and small businesses, is one of the most effective tools for economic recovery. Today, the Government has allocated additional funds for the development of small businesses in agriculture, construction, transport, education, science, etc. Such support provides for the creation of more than 2,000 jobs," commented First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.

In particular, it is planned to distribute funds amounting to

UAH 253 million, of which:

UAH 41.8 million - for the creation or development of horticulture, berry growing and viticulture;

UAH 7 million - for the creation or development of greenhouses;

UAH 204.4 million - for the creation or development of own business.

UAH 147.5 million, of which:

UAH 62.5 million - for the creation or development of own business in such areas as agriculture, forestry and fisheries, processing industry, water supply, construction, transport, professional, scientific and technical activities, education, health care, art, sports, etc;

UAH 34.9 million - for the creation or development of greenhouse facilities;

UAH 50.03 million - for the development of horticulture, berry growing and viticulture.

Both novice entrepreneurs and people who already have experience in business can receive grants. Grant applications are submitted through the Diia portal.
