The situation in the Ukrainian energy sector remains the focus for the Government. Every day, the State is working intensively to restore facilities wherever possible. It is also restructuring the energy system to make it decentralised and more resistant to enemy attacks. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the session of the Cabinet of Ministers.

During a meeting on 30 May, the Government decided to simplify bureaucratic procedures for Kharkiv region regarding the construction of artesian wells in medical institutions.

"This is what we have already done for the southern regions. A simplified licensing procedure will be in place, and the timeframe for completing the work will be accelerated to the maximum. Thus, we will provide all hospitals with water," the Prime Minister stressed.

The Head of Government noted that the State pays special attention to the regions with the greatest threats. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed to intensify reconstruction work in the Kharkiv region, where the enemy is targeting critical infrastructure.

Denys Shmyhal also noted that due to solar generation and the completion of repairs at two nuclear power units, scheduled power outages had not been applied for several days.

"However, this does not eliminate the need to systematically save electricity. If there is a significant deficit in the system again, Ukrenergo will be forced to return to the outage schedules. The consequences of the russian terror will be felt for quite a while," the Prime Minister said.
