Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal chaired the first meeting of the Steering Board for Coordination of Central Executive Authorities to support Ukraine’s participation in the Multi-agency Donor Coordination Platform.
The Steering Board includes representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, as well as Ukraine’s representatives to the IMF.
According to the Prime Minister, the task of the Steering Board is to coordinate the needs of Ukraine, to distribute responsibilities and set goals by the end of the year.
The Head of Government instructed the ministries to analyse which areas require additional funding: the state budget, rapid recovery projects (primarily energy), projects to support the economy and the private sector.
“Ukraine already has access to funding under the EU’s Ukraine Facility programme. We need to form a single list of projects that are ready to attract investment as soon as possible,” said Denys Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister noted that by the end of the year, the ministries should also develop a digital solution to see in real time the list of all assistance in support of priority sectors.
