This week was extremely fruitful for new military aid packages for Ukraine. According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, 9 European countries adopted the so-called Tallinn Pledge in the previous day.
"The United Kingdom, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Denmark, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Slovakia announced new packages and measures of military support for Ukraine and assured that the support would extend. Many of these aid packages are truly unprecedented and record-breaking for the entire period of the war," the Prime Minister noted.
Denys Shmyhal added that the United States had also announced a USD 2.5 billion military aid package. According to him, new massive supplies are expected from Sweden, Finland, Canada, Germany, Italy, and France.
"Today we are also holding a meeting in the Ramstein format to discuss further steps of support. Our allies understand that for Ukraine to ensure its victory in 2023, we need more modern weapons," the Prime Minister emphasized.
The Head of Government emphasized that we would definitely defeat the enemy thanks to the help of our friends, our unity, courage and our defense forces.
