On January 20, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution "On the Signing of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of Canada on Youth Mobility".

Thus, the CMU approved the draft Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of Canada on Youth Mobility and authorized the Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Vadym Huttsait to sign the Agreement.

The implementation of the Agreement will result in the creation of the necessary legal conditions for the development of Ukrainian-Canadian ties in the youth sector through the organization of exchanges after the end of martial law in Ukraine.

The conclusion of the Agreement will expand the opportunities for young people in Ukraine and Canada to better understand the culture, society, and language of the other country through travel, temporary employment, and life experience abroad.

As a reminder, on November 22, 2022, negotiations between the delegation of the Government of Ukraine and the delegation of the Government of Canada, co-chaired by Andrii Chesnokov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine for European Integration, and Nicole Girard, Director General of the Citizenship and Multiculturalism Policy Branch at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Department of Canada, with the participation of members of the delegation of the Government of Ukraine and the delegation of the Government of Canada, were completed, during which the texts of the draft Agreement were finally agreed upon and initialed.
