During a working visit to Zaporizhzhia region, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal inspected the process of construction of fortifications and heard a report on the subject from the Head of the Regional Military Administration.

UAH 1.4 billion has been allocated directly to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration for the construction of fortifications. In total, the Government has allocated UAH 2.4 billion for Zaporizhzhia region this year.

“The construction of defence lines is one of the main priorities and responsibilities of regional heads. After all, it is a matter of protecting the lives of our military and our defence capabilities,” the Head of Government said.

Also in Zaporizhzhia region, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine who gave their lives defending the state from russia’s full-scale aggression.

“We are eternally indebted to their courage and self-sacrifice. Eternal glory to the heroes!” said Denys Shmyhal.
