The Government has allocated a part of the loan from the Council of Europe Development Bank for the implementation of the Health Enhancement And Lifesaving (HEAL Ukraine) Project to finance the restoration of the healthcare system in 2024. The decision to use part of the loan proceeds for the repair and reconstruction of healthcare facilities in 2024 was made at a meeting on 18 June.

The Framework Loan Agreement for the implementation of the Health Enhancement And Lifesaving Project provides for a loan of EUR 100 million to Ukraine, of which EUR 10 million will be allocated to the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine, and EUR 90 million will be used to implement the investment part of the Project in 2024-2026.

The funds will be used to rebuild the healthcare infrastructure, improve medical services for patients, and provide psychosocial support to citizens.
