Children's safety is a key priority when preparing educational institutions for the academic year, emphasized Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during his visit to the Chernihiv Regional Pedagogical Lyceum for gifted rural youth.
"Properly equipped air raid shelters with forced ventilation, heating, appropriate opportunities to conduct training if necessary - these are the things we demand from communities and heads of regional military administrations," the Head of the Government emphasized.
Almost 200 students study at the Chernihiv Regional Pedagogical Lyceum. The facility was significantly damaged as a result of the russian shelling, but as of today, restoration work is already underway.
"It is essential that the facility has all safety systems for children in case of air raid alarms. From the local authorities, we expect that all works will be completed by the beginning of the school year, which should start on September 1 in offline. In those areas where this is categorically impossible, a mixed education system will be applied," the Prime Minister noted.
As Denys Shmyhal noted, a team of the ministers and him ascertained that the heads of educational institutions take a very responsible approach to the preparation of educational institutions for the academic year.
