Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska visited the military undergoing rehabilitation at a leading medical rehabilitation center in Vinnytsia.
"We inspected the conditions of stay, talked to the servicemen. We are thankful for their heroism in defending the state," the Head of Government stated.
In addition, the Government team got familiarized with the activities of the rehabilitation department and the new software that allows recording information on rehabilitation care in the electronic healthcare system.
"The transition to electronic documentation is a progressive step for Ukrainian rehabilitation. Services and certificates should follow the patient. These are new approaches, in particular to veteran policy. The Ministry of Health and all relevant ministries are working to ensure that this approach is systematic and applies to all institutions that receive Ukrainian defenders," the Prime Minister said.
For her part, the First Lady of Ukraine noted that everyone who needs rehabilitation now should receive better and faster assistance, as all data on a person's progress will be stored in their electronic medical record.
"Less time spent on various certificates and conclusions that are now available in the electronic database means more time for sessions with a physical therapist and occupational therapist. This is precious time for recovery, to return to a full life," Olena Zelenska noted.
Building an effective rehabilitation system is an initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska. The development of electronic documentation of rehabilitation assistance was carried out within the framework of the project "Rehabilitation of War Trauma in Ukraine" with the financial support of Switzerland, the European Union and Nova Ukraine.
