This morning, representatives of the Naftogaz Teplo LLC, part of the Naftogaz Group, which is future managing company at the Novorozdilsk and Novoyavorivsk TPP, met with employees of the local TPP in Novy Rozdil, including those who had quit the job through the arrears of wages by the previous manager.

As a result, Naftogaz Teplo LLC has employed 136 workers at Novorozdilsk TPP and 160 workers at Novoyavorivsk TPP. Documents regarding the reinstating of other employees will be executed in the near future.

For Tuesday it is scheduled to conclude the contract on the management of the TPP between the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) and Naftogaz Teplo LLC. Apart from that, an advance will be paid to the employees of the TPP in two cities.

Employees of the Novoyavorivsk TPP have come to work today and started technical work to prepare the TPP and district heating grid for operation. It is planned to start gas delivery to the Novoyavorivsk TPP on Wednesday this week to provide heating to the households.

In Novy Rozdil, preparatory technical activities are underway. The situation has been worsened by the fact that scheduled maintenance work on the heating grid and the heating network had not been financed for a long time and had not been carried out properly.

“Our first objective is to pay money to the employees and to ensure specialists could prepare the equipment of the thermal power plant and the heating grid for operation. Heating in households is our priority. Instead of gearing up of the cities for the heating season, ex-manager had failed to fulfill the commitments, to pay people for the work and blackmailed us with heating provision in homes of 60 thousand people. The Government will not tolerate that,” urged Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.

The PM added that, on his commission, ARMA had already terminated the management contract with the previous manager, the private enterprise Garant Energo M, which for more than five months had failed to pay salaries to its employees and to prepare the cities for the heating season.

After the preparation of the TPP and the successful start of the heating season, employees will be paid bonuses.

In the near future, Naftogaz Teplo must get from NEURC (National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission) licenses for electricity generation and production, transportation and supply of heat, as well as permission for concentration from the Antimonopoly Committee.
