Over 10 million Ukrainians have applied for UAH 1,000 under the Winter Support programme

Over 10 million Ukrainians have submitted applications for UAH 1,000 under the Winter Support programme, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

“The first payments for applications submitted since November 15 have been transferred,” said the Head of Government.

Some 1.7 million adult Ukrainians have already received funds under the programme. In addition, 253,000 transfers have been made for children.

The funds received can be used until the end of June next year to pay for utilities, purchase medicines, Ukrainian-made products (except for excisable goods), books, as well as for charitable contributions or postal services.

Applications can be submitted until December 24.
