  • Draft priority action plans for the stabilization and reintegration of Donetsk and Luhansk regions agreed

    Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, chaired a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the De-occupied Territories.

    The members of the Coordination Headquarters unanimously voted to approve the draft plans of priority actions to stabilize the situation in the de-occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and their reintegration. The drafts were prepared by the coordination councils established under the Donetsk and Luhansk regional military administrations (RMAs) to implement the relevant government decision.

    The main areas of the action plans are as follows:

    - Restoring the work of public authorities.

    - Security.

    - Humanitarian response.

    - Restoration of infrastructure.

    - Medical response.

    - Economy.

    - Information policy.

    - Social protection.

    - Educational needs. Psychological support.

    - Planning for the comprehensive restoration of the territories.

    Currently, according to the financial and economic calculations of the RMAs, about UAH 200 billion is needed to implement the draft plan for the reintegration of the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and UAH 80 billion - for Luhansk region. Later, the calculations will be adjusted in accordance with current needs. 

    These projects can be financed from the state and local budgets, as well as from international donors.
