International partners continue to actively assist Ukraine in restoring its energy infrastructure. In particular, under the coordination of the Ministry of Energy, after the resumption of russian attacks on the energy sector, Ukraine received 184 cargoes of humanitarian aid in the form of energy equipment weighing 2,335.8 tonnes.
The aid was provided by 14 countries, including Austria, Estonia, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Poland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
“We greatly appreciate the support of our partners who are helping the Ukrainian energy sector in these difficult times. The equipment provided will be used to repair and restore facilities that the enemy continues to relentlessly shell,” said Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.
The equipment received includes transformers, solar panels, generators, as well as electric motors, gas pipes, cables and other equipment needed for repairs.
Around 1,900 tonnes of the equipment has already been distributed to 57 energy companies affected by the hostile attacks.
