Ukraine and Saudi Arabia inked a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the sphere of sports

On November 23, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko chaired the  sixth session of the  Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Saudi  Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties touched upon a number of issues related to the development of trade and economic partnership between the two states.

At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on cooperation in the field of sports. The Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov and Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley signed the document.

In particular, the agreement stipulates for the implementation of sports exchange programs between the relevant sports institutions and federations, cooperation for the training of specialists in the field of sports, coordination of positions of the parties in international sporting events, as well as cooperation on sports medicine and anti-doping activities, etc.
