The pension payments to seniors who had had a long pension insurance record but had received low wages will be increased from July 1 and carried out on a permanent basis. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko on air of Channel 5.
"This year we have taken the first steps towards solving the problem of retirement benefits for those people who had had a long insurance record, but through low wages, they had been paid, their pension rate was low", he said.
Pavlo Rozenko reminded that in March and April for this category of citizens, one-time additional payments had been made. "And now, women who have at least 30 years of pension insurance record, and men who have at least 35 years of pension insurance record, will receive a pension not lower than UAH 2,000 on a permanent basis", said the Deputy Prime Minister. "Payments will be made within Revenues of the Pension Fund limits and will not affect the increase of the deficit of its budget", Pavlo Rozenko emphasized.
