Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko called on the State of Kuwait not to support the occupation government of Crimea by any political, economic or humanitarian contacts.

"The military invasion of Russia and the annexation of Ukrainian territories brought a lot of suffering to the peaceful population of the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions. About 250 thousand Crimean Tatars live in Crimea by occupied Russia. Russian occupation authorities blatantly violate their educational, religious, linguistic and other rights. The situation in Crimea is deteriorating. We appeal to the State of Kuwait with a request not to support the occupation authorities of Crimea by any political, economic or humanitarian contacts, as it is a gross violation of international law", he said during a meeting with Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

"Moreover, I appeal to Kuwait with a request to use all the capabilities to alleviate the lives of our Muslim compatriots, the Crimean Tatars, and to protect their rights", said Pavlo Rozenko.

The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked the Government of Kuwait for their support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Kuwait in the trade, investment, healthcare, etc.
