The development of creative industries adds 4% to the country's GDP. This statement was made  by Vice Prime Minister/ Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko at the opening of the Second Annual International Forum Creative Ukraine.

"The creative economy is an opportunity for growth. It gives a new impulse to production, services, trade, and changes the environment in which people want to live, work and study where they work, invent, and create. It is already a full-fledged branch of the world economy which is growing at a rapid pace," Hennadii Zubko underlined.

According to the Vice Prime Minister, it is incredibly important to demonstrate how the creative economy influences regional development. "There is a demand for the implementation of cultural and creative projects in the regions and communities. In many regions, such projects are already being successfully implemented - cultural hubs, workshops, business incubators are being established. At present, together with the Ministry of Culture, we are shaping a model, a certain blueprint that will be introduced in all regions. These are examples of the development of the cultural landscape of the region, the methodology of forming the cultural identity of the region, city, community. The communities are currently lacking this component," the Vice Prime Minister underscored.
