Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 15, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 417 (31 children out of this number, 10 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 7,460,766 vaccines have been made.
On August 15, 2021, 51,068 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 10,156 - CoronaVac vaccine, 19,524 – Comirnaty vaccine, 1,088– AstraZeneka, Janssen – 1,500, Moderna – 18,800.
Vaccination was carried out by 307 mobile immunization teams, 1,009 vaccination points and 346 vaccination centers.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 433 persons, 14 patients died, 248 persons recovered. There have been conducted 19,071 testings (10,238 using the PCR method, 1,551 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 7,282).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 2,266,329 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 2,197,075 people recovered;
- 53,269 people died;
- 11,677,835 testings have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
