  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of April 21, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 12,162 (532 children out of this number, 326 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 418,850.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 477,833 people have been vaccinated. On April 20, 2021, 15,042 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 5,231 people got CoviShield vaccine, 4,963 – CoronaVac vaccine, 4,848 – Comirnaty vaccine.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 4,411 persons, 429 patients died, 14,720 persons recovered. There have been conducted 109,007 testing (46,746 using the PCR method, 17,235 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 45,026).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 1,974,118 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 1,514,472 people recovered;
    • 40,796 people died;
    • 9,042,785 testings have been conducted.
