Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of September 8, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 3,663 (342 children out of this number, 63 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 10,234,210 vaccines have been made.
The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 5,722,212. On September 8, 2021, 161,169 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 37,178 - CoronaVac vaccine, 59,949 – Comirnaty vaccine,
10,367 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 53,675.
Vaccination was carried out by 1,004 mobile immunization teams, 2,948 vaccination points and 339 vaccination centers.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 981 persons, 61 patients died, 1,546 persons recovered. There have been conducted 62,730 testings (27,895 using the PCR method, 9,397 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 25,438).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 2,306,939 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 2,217,563 people recovered;
- 54,175 people died;
- 12,188,070 testings have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
