The issues of tariff policy and technical preparation of the regions were discussed during the conference call of the Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksiy Chernyshov with the heads of regional state administrations (RSA).

"One of the most important tasks facing the central and local authorities now is the timely and successful start of the heating season. Meetings with local governments are held weekly in the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development. We discuss all pressing issues together so that the heating season starts on time in each region and for each community. I emphasize once again that heating tariffs for the population should not grow. This is our common task, we have to fulfill it," Oleksiy Chernyshov stressed.

It should be noted that in the new heating season, heat tariffs are set by local governments. At the beginning of September, the progress of preparation of buildings, water supply facilities and sewerage facilities for the start of the heating season is almost 80%.

As a reminder, during the meeting of the Chamber of Local Authorities of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, the President of Ukraine supported the proposal to settle the debts of district heating companies to Naftogaz of Ukraine.

It is worth noting, the Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov holds regular meetings with representatives of local governments concerning preparation for a heating season.
