Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 09, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,656 (157 children out of this number, 229 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 141,267.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 865 persons, 127 patients died, 8865 persons recovered. There have been conducted 30901 testing (17658 using the PCR method and 13243 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

1249646 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

1084608 people recovered;

23771 people died;

6419781 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
