Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 12, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 4,773 (326 children out of this number, 212 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 132,538.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2000 persons, 116 patients died, 7211 persons recovered. There have been conducted 40899 testing (25835 using the PCR method and 15064 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1262867 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 1106155 people recovered;
  • 24174 people died;
  • 6500150 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
