Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 14, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 7,925 (233 children out of this number, 345 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 281,325.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,229 persons, 162 patients died, 10,192 persons recovered. There have been conducted 54,265 testing (33,349 using the PCR method and 20,916 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1,138,764 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 837,063 people recovered;
  • 20,376 people died;
  • 5,874,851 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
