Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of May 12, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 4,538 (180 children out of this number, 142 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 284,950.
Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 882,621 people have been vaccinated. On May 11, 2021, 18,264 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 400 people got CoviShield vaccine, 2,148 – CoronaVac vaccine, 2,316 – Comirnaty vaccine, 13,400 - AstraZeneka.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,349 persons, 356 patients died, 19,766 persons recovered. There have been conducted 71,383 testing (38,959 using the PCR method, 12,617 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 19,807).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 2,129,073 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 1,797,136 people recovered;
- 46,987 people died;
- 9,721,036 testings have been conducted.
