President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approved the Annual National Program under the auspices of the NATO-Ukraine Commission for 2021 (ANP).
This Program describes the reforms, defines their strategic goal, objectives and priorities for the implementation of the strategic course of the state for Ukraine's full membership in NATO.
The main focus of the ANP is on the state’s efforts to ensure human health, safety and well-being.
Particular attention is paid to deepening Ukraine's cooperation with the Alliance in the framework of NATO's Enhanced Opportunities Program.
"The ANP is an important tool for the successful implementation of Euro-Atlantic policy and reforms. Until Ukraine receives the MAP, the ANP remains our roadmap towards NATO membership. This document is built in accordance with the requirements of modern world management methods, focused on the result. The approaches being basis for the MAP allow us to speak with NATO "in one language", better target logistical assistance and focus our efforts on priority areas. We continue to work on Ukraine’s future membership in the Alliance," commented Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.
