Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 27,2021, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,082 (108 children out of this number, 35 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 8,802,596 people have been vaccinated.

The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 5,265,633. On August 27, 2021, 166,551 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 41,956 - CoronaVac vaccine, 53,288 – Comirnaty vaccine, 14,520 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 56,787.

Vaccination was carried out by 1,023 mobile immunization teams, 2,934 vaccination points and 340 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 708 persons, 54 patients died, 1,025 persons recovered. There have been conducted 58,135 testings (27,605 using the PCR method, 8,272 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 22,258).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,282,285 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,205,707 people recovered;
  • 53,686 people died;
  • 11,931,126 testings have been conducted.
