Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 6, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 15,125 (1,421 children out of this number, 341 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 13,302,370 vaccines have been made.

The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 7,360,202. On October 6, 2021, 122,298 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 36,738 - CoronaVac vaccine, 67,432 – Comirnaty vaccine, 18,128 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 0.

Vaccination was carried out by 914 mobile immunization teams, 3,038 vaccination points and 351 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,541 persons, 314 patients died, 4,380 persons recovered. There have been conducted 113,077 testings (53,031 using the PCR method, 9,964 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 50,082).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,497,643 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,277,762 people recovered;
  • 57,840 people died;
  • 13,111,389 testings have been conducted.
