Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 5, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 12,662 (1,186 children out of this number, 271 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 13,180, 072 vaccines have been made.

The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 7,300,774. On October 5, 2021, 117,234people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 34,746 - CoronaVac vaccine, 62,743– Comirnaty vaccine, 19,745– AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 0.

Vaccination was carried out by 887 mobile immunization teams, 2,938 vaccination points and 346 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,745 persons, 320 patients died, 4,630 persons recovered. There have been conducted 135,559 testings (54,386 using the PCR method, 11,665 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 69,508).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,482,518 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,273,382 people recovered;
  • 57,526 people died;
  • 13,058,358 testings have been conducted.
