Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 16, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 33,330 (2,837 children out of this number, 961 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 31,317,953 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 15,631,689 people have been vaccinated. On February 16, 2022, 66,082 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 11,429 – CoronaVac vaccine, 49,205 – Comirnaty vaccine, 748 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 4,700.

Vaccination was carried out by 924 mobile immunization teams, 3,289 vaccination points and 428 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,284 persons, 259 patients died, 27,441 persons recovered. There have been conducted 128,367 testings (59,467 using the PCR method, 6,061 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 62,839).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 4,637,260 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

• 3,866,755 people recovered;

• 103,824 people died;

• 192,358 testings have been conducted.

Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of September 22, 2021, № 981 "On Amendments to Certain Acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine" amended the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 9, 2020 № 1236 "On introducing quarantine and restrictive anti-epidemic measures to prevent the spread of the territory of Ukraine of the acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2" (hereinafter - Resolution № 1236), extending the quarantine until December 31, 2021. At the same time, from September 23, 2021, a yellow level of epidemic danger will be established throughout the country.
