  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 12, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,263 (73 children out of this number, 52 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

    The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 7,171,756 vaccines have been made.

    On August 12, 2021, 163,310 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 41,950 - CoronaVac vaccine, 52,382 – Comirnaty vaccine, 8,386 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 1,000, Moderna – 59,592.

    Vaccination was carried out by 974 mobile immunization teams, 2,812 vaccination points and 327 vaccination centers.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 613 persons, 44 patients died, 1,007  persons recovered. There have been conducted 47,355 testings (22,318 using the PCR method, 8,133 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 16,904).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 2,263,864 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 2,195,798 people recovered;
    • 53,217 people died;
    • 11,627,179 testings have been conducted.
